Trained Dogs

Willow Creek’s trained dogs are a big part of our breeding program and our business. Our females work as guide dogs in Minnesota and Texas, which helps us evaluate and hone in on the natural skills and abilities of each dog.
We are constantly selecting puppies as candidates for our breeding program. We evaluate them and either keep them in the breeding program or find them a nice home as a trained dog. These are very nice dogs from selective breedings and will handle any hunting conditions thrown at them. They will also lay at your feet, or in your lap if permitted, after a long day afield.

Level 1 Trained Dogs
Pick out your puppy from an upcoming litter, and Willow Creek will develop your ideal dog based on your specifications.
- Field ready by 10 months of age
- Steady to wing (ninety some percent of dogs trained at Willow Creek are trained in this manner. Very effective and very easy to maintain…most of our guide dogs are trained STW)
- Collar conditioned to here, heel, whoa, kennel
- Retrieving
- They know everything needed to be a competant hunting dog…just add hunting experience
- Solid socialization and obedience…they are ready to be a member of your family

Kate was Mick’s buddy while in Texas, living with him in the guide cabin. Kate’s stamina, retrieve and ability to work in tough conditions made her one of the top guide dogs in Texas. “Scout”$5,000Black & White - Scout is a 18 month old finished gun dog. He comes from a great breeding out of Willow Creek’s T-rex MH and Willow Creek’s Top Gun Darby MH. 13 out of 14 dogs in his pedigree are titled in Hunt Tests, 12 of those are Masters! Scout has a big nose on him and holds point well off his birds. He loves to retrieve on land or in the water and always brings the bird back with a firm soft hold. Scout is finished and ready to go home with his new family! Scout received a Prize III in NAVHDA at 9 months old and a Prize II at 1-year-old. |
Willow Creek’s Rosie – SOLD$5,0008/11 – Liver & White – Rosie is a quick, compact and snappy. Rosie does well in tough conditions and was an awesome addition to the guide dog string in Texas. Rosie is very affectionate and loves treats and attention from people. |
